Yu Yu Hakusho – Yusuke vs Sensui S-Class Feats Pt. 2

During their clash, Yusuke and Sensui pulverize a tall rock. We see a lot of spall and no signs of burning. The spall reminds me of a coat of snow, so I’ll use that as basis for the average size the rock was crushed into.

An average snowflake is about .2 inches in diameter, or 0.5 cm. That’ll be our particle size.

I’m going to measure in based on the closest piece of debris to Yusuke and Sensui. The problem with the panel below is that the tall rock is much further in the background, so comparing Yusuke to it directly would decrease the true results. Luckily the debris I’m comparing to starts off close to the rock, so it’s a little more effort, but more accurate.

Yusuke is 1.68 m. He’s 3 px here compared to 63 for the closest large piece of debris.

63 / 3 = 21 * 1.68 = 35.28 m, length of debris.

Debris is 13 px here compared to 43 for rock width.

43 / 13 = 3.308 * 35.28 = 116.706 m, width of the rock.

Width of the rock is 33 px compared to width of destruction at 27 and length of destruction at 115.

27 / 33 = .818 * 116.706 = 95.466 m, width of destruction.

115 / 33 = 3.485 * 116.706 = 406.72 m, height of destruction.

Treating this as a cone, the total volume of destruction would be 97,000 m^3

Using the Kuznetsov equation

k50= A(V/Q)^0.8 * Q^1/6

0.5 = 10(97,000/Q)^0.8 * Q^1/6

Q = 225,599,000 kg of TNT or 225.6 Kilotons

 

S-Class Tornadoes

Koenma notes that the cyclones below would kill them all instantly if they got sucked in. Now it’s one thing to kill Koenma instantly, but 3 A-Class level characters? Who took hits from Sensui? These tornadoes would have to be well above anything an F-5 has ever generated.

This is really meant to be more of a minimum. I had initially wanted to calculate the energy myself, but that’s impossible without the wind speed inside the cyclone, which I have no way of obtaining. So instead, a comparison to F-5 tornadoes.

I’m going to use 516.7 Terajoules, as it’s the highest number for an F-5 I’ve found so far. If I find something greater, I may update for another minimum value. Again I stress that to kill these guys instantly, who took hits from Sensui, and he even complimented their durability, it would take a lot of energy, but this should give us some idea, at least.

Sensui and Yusuke create three tornadoes in their clash, so the total would be 1.55 Petajoules, or 370.46 Kilotons.

When Raizen overtakes Yusuke, the transformation causes seven tornadoes to appear, so in that case, the total output energy would be 3.62 Petajoules or 865.2 Kilotons.

 

Raizen Possessed Yusuke Rei Gun

After Raizen Possessed Yusuke beats the piss out of Sensui, he fires a Rei Gun to finish him off. The result is a huge set of cratering in the ground which goes all the way past the horizon, and at the height we’re given, the horizon is far off.

Earlier, we notice that Puu has Koenma, Kuwabara, and Hiei above the tornadoes generated by Yusuke and Sensui, and then by Yusuke once again when the Raizen takeover happens. The height of a tornado depends on the height of the thunderclouds that it formed from, usually. And isn’t that convenient! We know the height of the thunderclouds in the area: 8,396.3 m

Using that as a height of eye, the distance to horizon would be as follows:

(8,396.3 * 13)sqrt = 330.382 km, distance to the horizon.

We’re going to use ang size again, except this time for size rather than distance.

Vertical field again since we’re looking down. 150 degrees as a reminder…

Panel is 491 px tall and crater closest to our vision is 154.

491 / 150 = 3.273 pixels / degree

154 / 3.273 = 47.052 degrees

Using the ang size calculator and solving for size, the number comes to 7,310.7 m, width of destruction.

To get the total volume of rock destroyed, I’m going to treat it as a half cylinder.

Height = 330,382

Radius = 3,655.35

Comes to 13,900,000,000,000 / 2 = 6,950,000,000,000 m^3 of rock destroyed.

This is a clear case of cratering, so we use 87 J/cc

6,950,000,000,000 m^3 = 6,950,000,000,000,000,000 cm^3

6,950,000,000,000,000,000 * 87 = 604,650,000,000,000,000,000 J, or 144.515 Gigatons

 

This is likely the closest we’ll ever get to knowing the top tier’s power from the manga. To be clear, this isn’t Raizen’s power, but rather Raizen taking over Yusuke’s body and unleashing his true potential. It can be assumed that his “True potential” is where he’s at by the time of the Demon World Tournament. At that point, it is widely agreed by all characters that Yusuke is roughly at Shura’s level. Shura is only about 1/3rd as powerful as his father Yomi, a true top tier.

Yusuke’s Jump to Sensui

After hitting him with a massive Rei Gun, Yusuke rushes over to Sensui to make sure he’s okay. We found before that this distance is 330,382 m, so all we need is a time frame. Because by the time Puu and the others reach the forest, Yusuke has already jumped past the horizon.

First of all, I’m going to compare Puu’s speed to a pterodactyl. They’re winged creatures of a similar size, after all. They had a flight speed of around 108 kph, or 30 m/s.

Now we just need to figure out how far Puu was from the forest when Yusuke took off and we can get our distance.

Yusuke is 1.68 m tall. He’s 79 px here compared to the tree behind him at 243.

243 / 79 = 3.076 * 1.68 = 5.168 m, height of the tree.

I’m going to use this height for another angular size calculation.

Horizontal field of vision is 210 degrees. Panel is 709 px compared to a tree in the background at 19.

709 / 210 = 3.376 pixels / degree.

19 / 3.376 = 5.628 degrees for the tree.

Solving for distance on the angular size calculator, the distance is: 52.57 m.

52.57 / 30 = 1.752 s, time frame.

330,382 m / 1.752 = 188,574.201 m/s or Mach 554.63
